Where
Rome, Italy: the workshop space is in the Monti neighborhood, a blue-collar bastion that's gentrifying. The classroom is a five-minute walk from the Colosseum and Forum – and close to several Metro stops.

Tuition
US$1,200 for students who pay in full by March 15, 2008; US$1,500 thereafter. Due to the limited class size, seats in class cannot be held without full payment. The Susan Tifft Scholarship will be awarded based on need and talent (the essay competition deadline is February 29).

Companions
We welcome the involvement of spouses, partners and friends:

  • Photo safari and workshops. Additional U.S. $350 fee.
  • Opening night reception, closing gala dinner. Additional U.S. $125 fee.

Private Consultations

  • One hour private critique or portfolio review of your pre-class stories or photo portfolio by one of our instructors. Additional U.S. $100 fee.

Disabled Access

Please contact us if you have mobility issues that would prevent any of the following:

  • Climbing three flights of stairs several times a day
  • Comfortably walking and shooting photos for 2-3 hours over cobbles and hills.

Travel Writing Class.com will do its best to accommodate all students, but the geography of Rome and old buildings without elevators may limit some options.

Scholarship
The Susan Tifft Scholarship provides a 50% tuition discount for the winner of our essay competition, which has a February 29, 2008, deadline.

Refunds
Travel Writing Class.com will refund 85% of your tuition if you cancel by March 15, 2008, and 70% thereafter.

Cancellation Policy
If unforeseen events present themselves, classes may be rescheduled or postponed. If this occurs, tuition can be applied to future classes or refunded in full, less any transaction fees. Travel Writing Class.com assumes NO liability for expenses you may incur in rescheduling transportation or accommodations; those are done at your own risk. (Trip insurance may be a worthwhile investment.)

Liability
Travel Writing Class.com, its owners, agents and instructors assume NO liability while you are attending classes or traveling in connection with the workshop.
